Terms of Service
Last updated October 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kerina. By creating an account or using Kerina you agree to them. We've tried to keep them plain.
1. Who can use Kerina
- You must be 18 or older. We remove accounts that appear to belong to someone under 18.
- One account per person, with your real first name, your real age and photos of you.
- You can't use Kerina if we have banned you before, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.
2. What Kerina is for
Kerina is a dating app for adults looking for genuine, serious relationships, a place for two people to get to know each other on their own terms.
Kerina is not a marriage broker, matchmaking agency or introduction service. We don't arrange, promise or sell marriages, partnerships or introductions, and nobody pays to be matched with a particular person or nationality. We comply with the Philippines' Anti-Mail Order Spouse Act (Republic Act No. 10906) and similar laws elsewhere.
3. What isn't allowed
You may not use Kerina for, or to promote:
- Prostitution, escort services, “sugar” or any other paid or transactional arrangement.
- Sexual content, explicit photos or sexual messages, or soliciting sex.
- Asking anyone for money, gifts, loans, load, gift cards or crypto, or any other scam.
- Offering, advertising or arranging marriages or partnerships for money, or any marriage-brokering service.
- Selling, advertising or recruiting for anything, including sending people to other apps or social accounts.
- Harassment, threats, hate, or sharing someone else's private information.
- Fake profiles, someone else's photos, or a category that isn't true for you (Woman, Man, or Ladyboy / Trans / Gay).
- Bots, scraping, or trying to get around our safety systems or limits.
Messages that look like they break these rules may be flagged automatically and checked by a person on our safety team.
4. Moderation: three strikes, reviewed by people
- A confirmed rule violation is a strike. You can see every strike and the reason for it.
- 1 strike is a warning. 2 strikes is a temporary suspension (7 days). 3 strikes pauses the account for review by a person, who decides whether to ban it.
- We don't use automatic permanent bans or shadow bans. Serious cases (for example threats, someone under 18, or solicitation) can be acted on right away by our team.
- You can appeal any strike or ban with your explanation and evidence from the Safety page in the app. A person reviews every appeal.
5. Reporting and blocking
You can block anyone at any time; they won't be able to see or message you. You can report a profile or message from inside the app, and reports go to our safety team. Reports made in bad faith to get someone banned can themselves lead to a strike.
Kerina doesn't run criminal background checks. Meet in public, tell a friend where you'll be, and never send money to someone you met online.
6. Your content
You own the photos and text you post. You give Kerina permission to host them and show them to other members as part of the service, and to review them for safety. You're responsible for what you post and send.
6a. Photo rules
Before you add photos, you confirm that:
- The photos are of you, and you own them or have permission to use them.
- They aren't AI-generated and aren't edited to change how you look (light cropping, brightness or a normal filter is fine).
- They have no nudity or sexual content. Your main photo shows just you, with your face visible; at most one group photo.
We check new photos for safety, including automated checks for sexual content and for photos that appear elsewhere on the internet. A photo can be hidden while it waits for a check or a review. A person reviews flagged photos and can remove a photo that breaks these rules; using someone else's photos can lead to a strike (see section 4).
7. Paid memberships
- Kerina is free to use. Optional memberships (Plus and Premium) are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime and keep your benefits until the end of the period you paid for.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page before you buy. Refunds follow our refund policy.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using Kerina at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Contact). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, as described above.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Kerina is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it safe, but we can't guarantee how other members behave or that you'll find a partner. To the extent the law allows, Kerina isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [TBD by counsel]. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
